Comienza el velatorio de la reina Isabel II
La monarca de 96 años falleció el jueves pasado y sus restos fueron trasladados desde el castillo de Balmoral hasta Edimburgo. Cómo será el paso a paso del funeral de Estado.
El jueves pasado Isabel II partió a los 96 años y sus restos fueron trasladados desde el castillo de Balmoral, Escocia hasta Edimburgo. Según comunicaron desde el Reino Unido, hoy se dará inicio al velatorio y el funeral de Estado se llevará a cabo el próximo lunes en la Abadía de Westminster.
Después de 70 años en el trono, Isabel II falleció días atrás y desde entonces miles de personas se acercaron con sus ofrendas a despedirla. Sus restos llegaron en las últimas horas a Edimburgo y hoy a partir de las 17.30 horas local, serán trasladados hasta la catedral de Saint Giles a través de una procesión. Según informaron, la misma se iniciará desde el Palacio de Holyroodhouse y estarán presentes el Rey y toda su familia.
Se espera la presencia de una multitud y mañana a partir de las 15 horas local, los restos serán trasladados a Londres, donde el próximo lunes 19, se llevará a cabo el funeral de Estado, en la abadía de Westminster.

Her Majesty The Queen will Lie at Rest in St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh.
The public will be able to pay their respects from 1730 on Monday 12 September until 1500 on Tuesday 13 September.
Very large crowds are expected and Edinburgh will be very busy.
